On the morning of March 19, 2020, the ocean freighter "Dashun", loaded with bauxite ore, berthed at the terminal in Lianyungang District and started unloading and sent it directly to Henan Luoyang Xiangjiang Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd. This is the first domestic bauxite import business of Shiyuan Group's Indonesia rare earth project during the global epidemic. It is reported that Shiyuan Indonesia's rare earth project is an important project invested by Shiyuan Group, actively responding to the national "One Belt and One Road" strategy, and vigorously implementing global development layout. It is also an important achievement of Shiyuan Group's active construction of a complete bauxite logistics chain between China and India.

 

The project plans to build a mining company and a port company in Indonesia. The initial development of bauxite production capacity is expected to be 3 million tons per year, and eventually, according to the development of the project, the production will be expanded to 12 million tons per year. In May last year, Shiyuan Group and Henan Luoyang Xiangjiang Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd. reached a strategic partnership. Singapore SYMY International Trading Company, a subsidiary of Shiyuan Group, is responsible for the Indonesian bauxite import business of Xiangjiang Wanji Aluminum.
